The Nice List is the family-friendly Christmas planning app. It keeps your gift list, recipients, budgets, tasks and festive timeline in one place, so Christmas doesn't sneak up on you.

Set an overall Christmas budget on the Budget page, then give each person on your list a budget allocation on their recipient profile. Every gift you add is deducted from that person's allocation, using the cost you entered for it — whether that's what you've already paid or what you expect to pay — so you can always see how much is left for them.

Yes. Choose your shopping region in Settings and every store search button on your gift cards points to your local sites — for example amazon.co.uk and ebay.co.uk for the United Kingdom, or amazon.com for the United States. Google searches are also localised to your region.

Yes — some of the store links in The Nice List, including links to Amazon and eBay, are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This never changes the price you pay, and it doesn't influence the gift ideas or stores we show you.

E.L.F. (Expert List Finder) is the built-in gift advisor. It reads the recipients, ages, interests, budget allocation and gifts you've already planned, and suggests thoughtful gift ideas that fit what you have left to spend. It never reveals your records to anyone else.

Always. The Nice List is the family-friendly Christmas planning app, so every suggestion E.L.F. makes is safe, legal, age-appropriate and suitable to give as a gift. Our priority order is simple: safety first, then family friendliness, then Christmas spirit, then helping you find great gifts.

E.L.F. never recommends, links to or describes firearms, ammunition, weapons, combat knives, explosives, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, hate or extremist merchandise, counterfeit goods, or anything illegal or unsafe. If you ask for something in that category, you'll see: "Sorry, The Nice List does not recommend restricted or potentially dangerous products." No alternatives are offered in the same category.

No. Adult toys, erotic gifts and pornographic or fetish-related products aren't part of The Nice List. Ask and you'll get a friendly nudge back to festive ideas: "Let's keep things festive. The Nice List focuses on family-friendly gift ideas and Christmas planning." You'll then be offered family-friendly directions instead — personalised gifts, experience gifts, hobby gifts, food and drink, games and entertainment, or home and lifestyle gifts.

Every message you send to E.L.F. is checked against our restricted and adult-content term lists before the advisor sees it. If your request falls into a blocked category, you get the standard, friendly response straight away and no gift recommendations are generated. The same filter also reviews the advisor's replies, so a restricted or adult product can never make it onto your screen.

Yes. There are four festive themes in Settings, along with a snowfall toggle and your shopping region. Your choices are saved to your account.

Your gifts, recipients, budget and tasks are private to your account — no other user can see them. Full details of what we store and why are in our Privacy Policy.

Every gift, recipient and task has a delete button on its card. Deleting a record removes it from your list straight away. For a full account deletion request, contact support.
